I would suggest anyone thinking of buying this template proceed with care. You may remember this offer from Dalecom (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64774)

Well I purchased the site (not the business) in August for a fair price. I said in our agreement that I would purchase the site design inc copyright for £xxx and I would allow him to use the existing design till end of August. I would need an email (minimum) or letter, that all text and images are either original or royalty free. - Usual stuff.

He agreed, and cashed my cheque.

3rd September I wrote to him....
I see you still have the old site design up. Not nagging but our
agreement was that it would be replaced with a new one prior to 1st September.

He replied on the 4th September, (Wednesday)
Sorry for that, Im just putting the finishing touches on a design
and it will be up by the end of the week.

9th September, I wrote
As nearly another week has gone by with the site still showing, in
total contravention of our agrement and the extension requested, I suggest that you return my cheque by first class post tomorrow.

NO reply, so 18th September, I wrote,
Having been on holiday for a week, I am surprised that you have still not removed the site you sold to me, or returned my cheque.

NO reply, so 20th September, I wrote,
I must say I am really disappointed at your lack of reply. If the
cheque is not received by Monday, or an acceptable reason for it not to be, then the matter will be placed in the hands of my solicitors.

Still no reply from him even tho I sent the emails to his domain address and CC'd them to his off site email address's. I will be starting legal action later this week.

Hmm

Seems his site is down for "alterations" Maybe you jumped the gun a little to soon?

Or maybe his gun prompted more immediate attention.

30 Seconds before I pressed the submit button for the above post, I checked and his site was up as normal. I've been asking him for 3 weeks to either remove the site design or return my money. Coincidence its gone less than 1 hour after I posted the above? I think not.

is a solicitor a term in england or Australia or somewhere else for Lawyer? Here in the USA a solicitor is a salesperson, most often a door-to-door one.

I am assuming it is, given the context, I just was curious and wanted to know.

Yes in the UK it is another name for a Lawyer, deals in general legal work, a Barrister deals in court cases.

Well personally... I find that Dalecom has been especially good with his templates and clients... I am sure he made a mistake or a misunderstanding. And from experience and ETA on a design can be misleading ;). Anyways, this is one matter, I am sure all of Oli's previous customers or clients were quite happy, and I think this probelm is fixed cause he is changing his design.

Blimey I have only just checked my thread.
I have been away which is why the site has only just come down, I have about 200 emails which need to be answered which is why croftie has had no reply yet.

I have sold loads of templates on here and have never had a complaint.

Perhaps you could then explain why you have re uploaded the site design in the last few days.

I think I have been VERY patient with you on this matter.

Forum moderator has been notified over your conduct and has noted that you are currently displaying the site I bought from you in August.

In my first post in this thread I said "I would suggest anyone thinking of buying this template proceed with care" I think stronger words could well be used now about buying anything from Dalecom.
