View Full Version : Owned vBulletin License for Sale
sajanParikh 03-03-2009, 09:16 PM License #: VBF4B25849
Purchase Date: December 2nd, 2008. You're good for updates through that date this year (longest time you'll get unless you buy a brand new license on your own, .)
I'm looking for around $150, but will consider offers as I need some quick funds. Payment via Paypal.
*Ticket sent in for verification.
IGXHost 03-03-2009, 09:41 PM Offering $100
sajanParikh 03-03-2009, 09:49 PM igxhost,
Thanks for the offer. However, $100 is a little lower than I'm expecting.
If you can slightly raise your offer, please feel free to send me a PM.
Thanks.
linux-tech 03-03-2009, 10:01 PM If the license can be transferred to my account, I'll give you $125 once verified. I only request that it can be transferred to my account because I've got enough of a headache managing my licenses, plus those of my customers as it is.
sajanParikh 03-03-2009, 11:18 PM It was just brought to my attention that things need to be public here.
The above buyer seems to have dropped out. I'm in the talks with another via MSN.

Just FTR:
I have NOT dropped out. I won't be pitted against a blind bidder however. This is why the rules are here, to protect the buyer from a scam such as what appears to be going on here.
Any time you have something like this going on, where you have hidden individuals claiming "I'll give you $xxx", yet not identifying themselves, it reeks of scam. I'm not saying you're scamming someone, but when you come to me and mail me, trying to say "Invisible X has offered me $150", I'm going to say that looks like a scam to me.
My offer of $125 still stands. I have no problem paying that at all, providing that it's a valid license, and that it can be transferred to my existing account. I might even be tempted to go a bit more, providing I wasn't pitted against a blind bidder (ie: someone who doesn't really exist).
The whole public display of bids and offers is there for buyer protection, as well as seller's, honestly. This is the internet, and this is the largest hosting discussion forum on said internet. You'd best believe someone's going to try to fraud members (on both sides of the aisle, buyer and seller).
sajanParikh 03-04-2009, 12:04 AM linux-tech,
I wasn't pitting you against a blind-bidder. The bidder is real. I didn't ask you to raise your bid, I clearly stated I'll have to pass on your offer and go to the higher bidder.
Had I been trying to scam you, I'd be trying to get you to match the "blind" bidder. Instead, you can read the PM I sent you which clearly states...
"If it falls through, I'll follow up with you and give it to you for $125."
I was simply notifying you of the situation with the sale as you and another bidder contacted me. He probablly doesn't have an account here, but saw that I was selling and somehow found my MSN ID.
I clearly explained that I was dropping you as the buyer for the more higher bidder. I also CLEARLY said, if it falls through I'll even go $5 LOWER on the price.
I don't necessarily appreciate you posting this in my thread and saying that this "appears to be" a scam "going on here."
I tried to sell this license last week at the following thread, but it was 6 days too early. In case anyone wants to know.
*If a mod would find is acceptable. I'd appreciate the above post, as well as this to to be removed from the thread as it unnecessarily is discrediting my sale here.
I'm still not quite sure what rules I broke either. I didn't see the need to flood this thread with negotiations with buyers.
Another thing...I'm trying to sell this license on multiple forums. Just because buyers haven't been identified here, doesn't mean they don't exist.
Dark Light 03-04-2009, 09:45 AM If you are selling your license on other forums, you need to link to these other forums so that bidders can see bids from other web masters that are not on WHT.
linux-tech hasn't discredited you, instead he has just stated facts and his own opinions on the subject. His offer of $125 still stands if you wanted to accept it.
Update the thread if you have accepted an offer as well as where you are selling this license elsewhere.
sajanParikh 03-04-2009, 09:58 AM Victor Lugo on THIS forum PM'd about another party trying to get in touch with me via MSN...that hasn't happened.
An MSN contact via Namepros also contacted to buy it for $150...then suddenly went offline.
I'm waiting for that guy until later tonight. I need funds soon, so if he doesn't get back to me I'll accept linux-tech's bid for $125 unless someone can do better.
*That's about the jist of what I PM'd to linux.
Dark Light 03-04-2009, 10:01 AM Please provide the appropriate links to any other threads you have at other forums involving this license; otherwise it is unfair to any bidders on WHT who cannot see if bids are real. ;)

*I can't go and MAKE the people post in those threads. On TFL it's been my experience to simply get in touch via IM without posting in the thread to make the deal. Which is pretty much the way it's been working for Namepros. So I don't know what to do about that.
sajanParikh 03-04-2009, 10:25 AM Also talking to someone on Twitter who had a reasonable offer. He will decide when he gets back on tonight.

Dark Light 03-04-2009, 10:52 AM The license is eligible for transfer.
Have a safe transaction!
sajanParikh 03-04-2009, 11:10 AM Currently there are 2 people offering $150. One through twitter, the other through namepros.
Both of these people won't be on until later tonight. If anyone can make the payment right now, please send me your offer. I'll let this go for $120...ONLY if you can make the payment right now. I'll reply to this thread immediately, so just post here saying you can pay now and it's sold to you.
Above offer only valid for next 5 hours. As after that, I'd rather wait for the other guys.
pixeldawn 03-04-2009, 11:20 AM Sold to me for $120. PM me the payment details.
sajanParikh 03-04-2009, 11:44 AM Sold to pixeldawn. Payment recieved, transfer in progress.
pixeldawn 03-04-2009, 09:55 PM License received, pleasure doing business.
mafitsi 03-08-2009, 01:01 AM Glad to hear that.
