If you have any idea then please post there url. brookie 09-22-2002, 06:21 PM Have a look at tera-byte.com, venturesonline.com, cagedtornado.com. Archbob 09-22-2002, 07:38 PM I'd go with tera-byte. Exhibit-X 09-23-2002, 01:13 AM tera-byte runs their servers in safe mode (or php anyways) they may have changed that since i tried them but probably havn't i use them for registering all my domains though, they seem like a good company. i guess if you don't need safe mode to be off then you should go for it. chrisb 09-23-2002, 01:33 AM I thought I saw some companying advertising virtual servers for around $20 in the ad forums a few weeks ago. I don't remember their names. And, of course, there's this new ad for $49 complete servers in the ad forums too. I'm waiting for Robert of Rackshack to come out with a $19 managed server, myself. :) jolly 09-23-2002, 02:51 AM Originally posted by chrisb I thought I saw some companying advertising virtual servers for around $20 in the ad forums a few weeks ago. The Prohacker 09-23-2002, 07:43 AM http://www.hostonfly.com I have a really cheap VDS with them, I think $5/month... Its been pretty good, and for the price, done everything I asked it todo... Which isn't much :D hostpc.com 09-23-2002, 09:24 AM Originally posted by chrisb I thought I saw some companying advertising virtual servers for around $20 in the ad forums a few weeks ago. I can see the headline now - Rackshack to purchase Dell for $50b US - new datacenter to take over all vacant property in Texas... details at 11. Ha! jarrod 09-23-2002, 09:49 AM I have a vsd at cagedtornado.com for only $20/month and it's great. The only downtime I have experienced in 5-6 months was just a couple reboots. Server loads are reported high, but it doesn't seem to impact performance. I would recommend them anyday, wish I would have found them sooner. jolly 09-23-2002, 11:54 AM Originally posted by jarrod I have a vsd at cagedtornado.com for only $20/month and it's great. If you mean control panel, I guess the one that comes with FreeVSD. Never really use it though except to 'reboot' (not a true reboot I guess). Never liked control panels, I always thought that if you had to rely on a control panel to administrate the server, you probably shouldn't be trying to run one in the first place. |
