Hi has anybody noticed or had trouble with Paypals Payment Gateway.
I have an online auction site that came with Paypal Payment Gateway. I was informed by one of our seller that the gateway changes the currency back to $USD when used (ODD or Intentional).
I contacted Paypal & after many times explaining the problem lies with the Payment Gateway, They finally agreed that they have discovered the problem & are just now organising to fix it. I will receive an email when it is done.
The ODD part is I have been using this set up since Jan 2009 only in the last 3 weeks have I noticed this problem & I am sure it has cost me a client or 2.
Is it intentional who knows. I did ask Paypal if eBay would have the same problem & the answer was No only the people using Pro Flow Gateways will have this problem
What do you think

It sounds like a bug, and it sounds like they are trying to fix it?
Perhaps give them 1-2 weeks and report back?

Yes it Bugs me as well. especially if it takes that long to fix the problem.
I would imagine that this problem could have only come from inside paypal system or could it have placed there by an unknown outside source?. If it was from an outside source dose that mean paypal is not as safe as people believe?.
There would be a few people out there getting worried their payments are increased and the currency has change. Think of all the Seller having to refund the difference working on the currency exchange at the time of payment
Imagine if this happened with ebays payment gateway
