I have used OnlineNIC for over 1/2 year, and I'd like to share my points here:
(1) Cannot change the Registrant's Name unless you pay them $30/time
(2) Register at least 5 years in order to register your own DNS entries at their Whois.
(3) Refund policy is your refund amount will be subject to their administration charge.
(4) Whois info. cannot be read worldwide, but just their Whois Server (Go to Netsol, and enter your onlinenic domain in their Whois field, they always 100% got error.)
(5) The most important point: You CANNOT transfer your domain from OnlineNIC to other registrar.
I have some domains which needed to be transferred to Enom, and in the Enom reply, they stated my domains cannot be transferred because they are rejected by losing registrar. I have sent an inquiry to OnlineNIC but after 1 week, they have no reply. If you send questions about your reseller account etc., they do give reply!
Ok, that's all I want to share with you guys!
Kevin
Strange... I'm glad I am not with them. :)

ok sorry guys for replying to an old post but wanted to clear few things i'm aware of:
(2) 5 yrs not needed anymore!
(4) why you want to use Netsol's whois? have u tried with other whois? register.com is ok.. all the free & paid whois scripts available also works fine with onlinenic whois. (Netsol in any case cannot be compared as its full of CRAP)
(5) My 1 client has transferred to other registrar without any issues.

Thank you for all of your comment, I believe OnlineNIC has staff reading this forum, that's why I have receive the following email after a few days I have posted this message, let's share:
=====
Dear Kevin,
To ensure the success of the registrar transfer for your domains, after the the confirmation letters sent by system automatically, I have sent four confirmation letters to their admin contact e-mail respectively by manually. Please check and reply it within 3 days asap.
You are OnlineNIC valued customer. Any suggestions or concerns of you are greatful to our work, our comoany, and highly appreciated!
Now I would like to make the explanations regarding your comments on http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=76104:
(1) Cannot change the Registrant's Name unless you pay them $30/time
It just is OnlineNIC policy. In order to provide the most favorable service for customers, now the change of registrant name will be online without fee.
(2) Register at least 5 years in order to register your own DNS entries at their Whois.
As you may have known, our price is really much lower comparing to other registrars and the margin we have got is quite little. While when a domain has been registered as a dns, it can't be deleted if it has reached its expiration date since there are still other domains occupying this dns. And the registry will still charge us the renewal fee for this domain. So we set this rule to keep our price low all the time. Your understanding on this matter will be highly appreciated.
(3) Refund policy is your refund amount will be subject to their administration charge.
During the refund, some handling fee will be charged by the bank for the credit card.
(4) Whois info. cannot be read worldwide, but just their Whois Server (Go to Netsol, and enter your onlinenic domain in their Whois field, they always 100% got error.)
The unusual whois error ocurred in Netsol is just due to Netsol. As you know, Netsol is the central database.
(5) The most important point: You CANNOT transfer your domain from OnlineNIC to other registrar.
The registrar transfer of domain is free in OnlineNIC. The transfer failure for your domains is due to the admin contact doesn't reply the confirmation letter within the limited time. Please kindly be informed it.
If I can be of any help, please feel free to contact me

My fact: I don't know why, but my domains can't receive auto mails from OnlineNIC, thus, always got rejection when transferring domains to another Registrar. The only method to get it right is before I initiate the Registrar Transfer, the admin mail should be changed to something like hotmail.com.
To answer some of your questions:
(4) why you want to use Netsol's whois? have u tried with other whois? register.com is ok
Don't think I love Netsol, and only use their whois :), yes - other whois can see the OnlineNIC results, but you may agree that many people still believe only Netsol can register domains, and so check domains whois at Netsol.
If you know a better price and services, please share it with us.
I'm willing to share, but actually, I haven't found any price lower than $6.69.
I cannot deny that OnlineNIC is willing to improve their weaknesses after I have posted my complaints here and others complaints received from other resellers. It's a good news that they know some of their policies are outdated. Also, fast support via ICQ is available which other companys can't beat!

Thats great response, i'd say.
For the point (2) as i mentioned previously that 5 years for DNS is no longer there. (Thanks to Chily & Peppers@Onlinenic.com for quick response to sugesstions)
For Whois, better install free script from mattscripts.co.uk or bwhois.. works nice and fast.
So now Kevin, can we have the party now?
(oh no.. someone mentioned fresh OJ :D)
