Are you actually claiming to have invented the html form? Do you expect everyone to pay you royalties?

BTW, you should take a couple hints from his 'rip' and retool yours. His 'rip' is better than your 'original'.

it would have been nice if he atleast removed the color from the cut and paste work he did off our site, done be so blind Andrew you know this page was copied and paste look at the html, even the border is the same!!!!

To me it looks more like ONLY the border is the same.

The fonts aren't the same. The spacing isn't the same. The 2checkout logo isn't the same....I don't get it...

It has been copied, but you can't do anything about it, as it isn't much.

"By clicking below, you agree to our Terms of Service" word for word

blue is the same, even this is still red!!!!!

"(When clicking New Domain, you will be sent to SimpleNet's Domain Registration Services, when you have registered your new domain you may return here)"

it even opens a new page like ours!!

the source of the HTML even still has some of our words

Oh please.

If this is considered a rip then I guess using the same "<head>" and "<form>" tag on pages is a crime as well

He was a reseller of you so he might copy your site when he was staying with you. Forgive him, that form is not much to be considered as a rip.

As long as the page is not copyrighted and/or the original owner didn't pay for or create the design layout, who cares if the page was ripped?

A webhost may be able to rip-off each other's pages, but they can't duplicate the client base, service quality, or profitability (regardless of how they price the service).

Well, I know of at least hmmm.... a hundred or more hosts and other sites that have obviously ripped from you based on that. I couldn't begin to tell you how many thousands of sites you've ripped that from though

His site is a great improvement on yours and to accuse him of ripping you is absurd. What did you have to rip? A simple form...the concept of a header...the use of 2checkout...?

Furthermore, for the top portion, simplehost used a readily available template which is sold on the net. I know...I own that template as well.

By the accusations such as this one where we pick any similarity and claim a site was stolen, we do discredit to those legitimate designers who do occasionally get their material stolen. They deserve our support. You do not.

I have to agree with the majority here. The pages don't look ripped. If they were inspired at all, I've see somethign similar on many order pages. Nothing to get worked up about, however if for some reason you are, contact them about the issue.
