Tazzman 09-22-2002, 10:47 AM All got refundsHmmm, strange I haven't seen a refund or heard from Chavvon for well over a month. Still waiting for the chargeback to be fully processed (which according to my bank could take another 30 days, this while I have allready been waiting about 3 weeks).

Who told you that every 130 server payments are refunded?
I got my money by charge back, something that I hate.

onestar 09-22-2002, 12:45 PM Indeed, I too was wondering what was happening...as one of the people that did get their server.
In the past month I have had cause to put a support query in and had a response within 1/2 hour. And the server has been up no problem so far.
However I don't see any dedicated servers listed in their new setup.
And more interestingly click on contact, then on support, and then onto http://forum.hostmania.net/ Notice anything ?
*Hint * for more information .....

onestar 09-22-2002, 02:46 PM Oh well I thought it was interesting (the contact eservers.biz) because if you look back at the threads referring to hostmania's recent problems, they also affected eservers.biz -- who are a completely independent UK company.
(For information they source managed servers from other locations/companies).
So I was wondering whether hostmania have decided to front their customer end using eservers.biz (or vice versa) or whether eservers.biz are setting the front end up or .... who knows
Incognito 09-22-2002, 03:22 PM They never really made the relationship completely clear. Also, there has been no update. Does eservers expect to offer servers there in the future? Does hostmania expect to offer servers again? Or, have they reappeared under a new name?
I had planned to drive up to their office and meet with them before everything blew up on them. Maybe after the dust settles, I will still do so.
chavvon 09-23-2002, 08:56 PM Chavvon Smith here. I'm the CEO of TransOptics, Inc. offering the hostmania.net service.
We have been working with customers trying to make sure everyone has a refund and we have been gladly doing chargebacks. Ipayment hasn't returned a phone call in over 30 days now, so are forced to use snail mail.
What you see on our web page now is a virtual type of thing, but we also have the OSS on dedicated servers. The MSE solution is a win win for every one. Take a free trial at www.hostmania.net
If you have not received a refund, let us help you through the process. We have even paid cash refunds on payments we never received. We are going to make this right and prove that we are committed to delivering a class A service.
BTW, we process through JP Morgan Chase now.
Regards,
Chavvon Smith
We had to issue a chargeback and it cost us about $30 AU. We did go through eServers, but it was using your merchant account. Can we look forward to you guys paying up for this or is this something we will just have to obsorb and move on?
Tazzman 09-23-2002, 09:04 PM Hi Chavvon,
if you are now able and willing to offer a refund (the willing part was never an issue though), I'll gladly take you up on the offer. I don't really feel like waiting another month for my bank to process the chargeback, so if you will give a refund, I can contact them and inform them the issue has been resolved. That is unless you would prefer me to see the chargeback through, which would probably hit Ipayments I guess...
chavvon 09-23-2002, 09:18 PM Haze,
Considering we never saw the cash, I will split your cost with you.
Tazzman,
What's the status of your chargeback request. A few customers asked for cash refunds and issued a charge back anyway. Not saying you will, but with a 100 customers, that can add up quick.
I'll do whatever it takes to make this right.
regards,
Chavvon
Tazzman 09-23-2002, 09:31 PM The chargeback was submitted 4 weeks ago. At the end of last week they told me it would take them about another 30 days because it was an international chargeback and that involved a lot of red tape...
I can understand that people would use your generosity against you, somebody always does, that's why I said that I'd just wait for the results of the chargeback if you prefer me to, though I can assure you, I'll be more than happy if I just get back what I was charged and don't want anything but that...
chavvon 09-23-2002, 10:30 PM Tazzman,
Contact me by email please at chavvon@hostmania.net and I will make arrangements to pay you cash for your transaction.
Regards,
Chavvon
maxbear 09-24-2002, 05:28 AM Hi chavvon,
I just email you. Could you refund $150 to my paypal account as soon as possible? Becasue I sent you payment by paypal at 7/15. Thanks.
sonic 09-24-2002, 08:38 AM hi chavvon
I ordered the server thru eservers.biz .
could you give me cash or whatever refund as well ?
I work in Canada now but my bank which issued me the credit card is in taiwan. I haven't done a chargeback request yet.
Tazzman 09-24-2002, 09:17 AM If you ordered the server through eservers, I would think your beef is with them, not with Chavvon directly...
xlhosting 09-24-2002, 03:17 PM Hi Chavvon,
I hope you will answer to my email this time?
