I found a few phone cards online with 1 cent a min long distance yeah most of them charge a connection fee of 49 cent or more and they have a monthly or weekly fees but even with all that i think they are cheap as dirt (assuming the call is clear) if you talk on the phone 6 hours at a time which i do and i can use a phone card with 1951 minutes in a week!! if you don't talk on the phone much your better off with a flat rate card from sams club with no fees at all for 4 cents a min i think it was.
I used to be with MCI and i got charged 7 cents a min and a monthly fee they tried to tell me that i had to have a long distance carrier that if i didn't when ever i called someone my local phone company would pick it up i guess that is true but if you use a calling card with a 800 number to call long distance i don't see how, im really hate these companies they are always calling me trying to give me a "special deal" it gets annoying.
So my question is do you have to have a long distance carrier? Whenever I call long distance I will just use a calling card with a 800 number.
I don't think you can beat 60 cent an hour for long distance but there is the connection fee you get charged every time you call but even then it's only a $1.09 an hour and if you don't hang up it's 60 cent every hour after that but some phone cards disconnect you every 2 hours ...Radiant cards do or used to so they can charge you the connection fee again and but still that would only be $1.09 an hour how can you beat that? :)
some of them charge you in (4)minutes increments and some only in 1 minute increments if you call someone for 2min and hang up you would get charged for 4 min right?
