As the title says, I'm wondering where i could find somone to give me sound legal advice.

Local firms wont talk untill I pad their pockets, and because it is a relatively small matter to do with web hosting I thought someone here may be able to help me.

well you can post your question at WHT and get advice for free that way....but i wouldn't put everything on anything said here....

My brother-in-law is in law school, and explained if anyone really gave free legal advice, all the other lawyers would be after them in an instant for taking away business. (I was wanting him to come onto WHR and answer legal questions.) Lawyers would sue the guy that gave the advice if it was not "sound", or in any way wrong.

Was quite a few months ago, but I think that's how it went :)
