AntiSpamHosts 09-20-2002, 08:29 PM Does it piss you off that almost everyone posts whatever they want in Web Hosting Forum? Like topics that are having nothing to do with Hosting in there? (It just set me off when I saw the post about "How WHT Has Changed you")

Sure, it makes some work for the mods to move them. But you can't expect everyone to be perfect, like us.
So, no. It doesn't upset me.
Chicken 09-20-2002, 09:13 PM Ayyyyye it gets me knickers in a bunch arrrrrrrr... but I just move it and move on with my life ;)
It *would* be helpful if people read the forum desciptions, but accidents do happen, and when they do, we'll take care of it...
BC... cleanup in aisle 3
AntiSpamHosts 09-20-2002, 09:13 PM I don't expect it to be perfect...But I mean people could be a little more critical of themselves.
Chachi 09-20-2002, 09:24 PM I've noticed a few new comers to the forum immediately break the rules by posting in the wrong forum and use the fact they are new as a defence. It's simple common sense that a review of your site should go in the web site review forums. Maybe in the generic email that goes to users when they sign up could include a few bullet pointed, bold instructions with a few dos and dont's?
Chicken 09-20-2002, 09:35 PM How 'bout I personally visit them, sit down to tea and crumpets, we go over the guidelines, and then they sign a release form (first born), and we open the gates?
Sheeeeesh, it was just a suggestion.. no need to get touchy! Ok, 2nd born...
Chachi 09-20-2002, 09:37 PM Whatever floats your boat Chicken.... :D
AntiSpamHosts 09-20-2002, 09:59 PM Chicken...Do you get paid for being a smartass? LOL

AntiSpamHosts 09-20-2002, 10:16 PM I know, but what's the worst that can happen? I get banned from my favorite place?
:bawling: :bawling: :bawling: I'M SORRY CHICKEN :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:

I thought the Lounge was a misc. channel?
Chicken 09-20-2002, 11:26 PM yeah, they are talking about the top forum. people tend to put everything there, regardless if there's an actual forum for it (domains, dedicated issues, lounge threads, etc.)
interactive 09-21-2002, 02:43 PM hey gotta face the facts some poeple (like me) are just plain ignorant (stupid same difference) ;) lol
Darth 09-21-2002, 02:51 PM Very annoying
I have the perfect solution to this problem, and it's so obvious, and so easy, that it is amazing that it's not already in place: WHT should simply....
