We are now offering high density servers with 4 servers in
a 1U case. Let me know if you are interested and I will send
you a picture of it.

Is there a site we could take a look at the servers? Are they for rent or buy? What OS is installed e.g is like a cobalt server or a Redhat setup more less?
Thanks

We do have a website at http://www.linuxlab.com, but the 4-in-1 is
not on it yet. We can pre-install Redhat for our customers.
Is it ok I send you an email with a picture of it?
Thanks. :-)

Would it be possible to post on the board? Maybe on another domain so that there isn't a connection, or if not, might I take a peek anyhow?

Hi, guys. I will send a pic to each of you who is interested. I am thinking about to post a pic of
it on our website and it may take some time.
Meanwhile, if you want to know the price and specs. Please
email me your inquiry.

Come on, it isn't all that hard. My laptop is 12.5" x 9.5" x 1.5", so you could fit four of them into a 1U case.
More seriously, there's two major issues here. First is that "1U" does not specify the depth of the server -- I've seen "1U" cases ranging from 18" deep to 36" deep. Second, if you don't have any PCI or AGP cards you can fit a system onto a pretty tiny board (eg, this (http://www.siliconrax-sliger.com/products/singleboardcomputers/src_788.htm)), at which point your cpu densities become absurd.
The problem of course, is providing power and cooling for the systems. It isn't much use having 560 processors* within a 3' by 3' square of floor space when you need two or three times as much space in order to provide the 20kW of power that the systems need. The same goes for dual processor 1U Merced (IA-64) systems -- they exist, but at 25kW per rack there isn't really much point to having such high densities.
*560 processors is based on having a standard 42U rack filled with 3U rackmount cases, each containing a 20-port passive backplane filled with dual-cpu SBCs.

Hmmmm, I just changed my mind... I will charge $20 if you
wanna take a look!!!... Make it $60 now.... No, $80 for now
and $100 for tomorrow. I wish I could post a picture here...
Well, blame Chicken. I will only charge him, nobody else...
Anyway, Chicken is nice enough to provide the place for us
and I guess we all agree to let him go this time. We can
ship out our 4-in-1 within 3 business day upon confirming your purchase order...The board we use is from ECS, anyone
knows anything about it, please share the info with us. I
feel it is a quality board. What do you say, Chicken???
