dreamcodedesign 02-14-2009, 10:10 PM I voted for Tuner Radio. It's also the shortest one with the word radio in it and makes sense. :)
Techno 02-14-2009, 10:14 PM Turner Radio could give you trademark issues with media mogul Ted Turner.
TrentH [WhirlHost] 02-14-2009, 10:57 PM I don't know Ted Turner, but I did research on all of the names and none of them came back with anything.
And it's TUNER not TURNER lol, incase you didn't know. But perhaps your saying they look alike? Maybe thats a good thing people will go wow he's on the radio or something?
Anyways, appreciate the feedback and the posts!
woods01 02-14-2009, 11:51 PM I was going to say the same thing that Techno said. As soon as I seen that Turner Radio came to mind.
Have you researched any other potential tm issues prior to making your list? Tuner radio gets my vote although you'd probably lose it down the road:)
TrentH [WhirlHost] 02-15-2009, 12:40 AM Yeah, Turner or Tuner, it's kind of a eye problem isn't it?
Lose it down the road? Why is that, I can get the copyrights etc.
woods01 02-15-2009, 01:48 AM The trademark process is a somewhat stern and slow one. It takes well over a year to get what you would need to lock your name(s). During that time period more then likely the Turner folks would probably object and you wouldn't be granted.
If you were to chose another name and TM it down the road (after the site is a big success) your risking things since TM's aren't guaranteed, it's a legal process.
If you have the ability to lock your names in now then do it now, the more you throw the names around the more others are going to look into it. Theres enough lessons to be learned out there of sites that went big then were taken by other companies because of name conflicts:)
I don't think we're talking about copyrights.
TrentH [WhirlHost] 02-15-2009, 02:30 AM Well to be honest, I don't plan on it being a big success. But, it's Tuner not Turner, so as much resembalance as it is. I don't think they have any right to do anything.
Though, I could be wrong, I am not familiar with the process.

Northstorm | Kevin 02-15-2009, 02:58 AM I have a domain if you are interested.
TrentH [WhirlHost] 02-15-2009, 03:12 AM Advertising Fourms, are for Advertising
UsefulPC 02-15-2009, 03:25 AM I think Tuner Radio or The Buzz. You may also be able to use some sort of name with stream or streaming included in it.

Thanks for the feedback and the suggestion.
Keep them coming!
nameslave 02-15-2009, 10:18 AM Sorry, but you are not really serious about asking for some business opinion here without checking/registering those names IN ADVANCE, right?
And by the way, out of those 8, only monsternoiseradio.com, lowbrowradio.com, knuckledusterradio.com are still available, unless you are thinking about .FM.

Well, i've had other ideas about the domains I won't use the 100% obvious ones but the results are in and I know what what I am going to get now.
Thanks for the help guys!
dreamcodedesign 02-15-2009, 02:15 PM You may want to search through http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=searchss&state=stjuab.1.1 to make sure the new name doesn't infringe with someone elses. Best of Luck on your name search! :)
jcroom 02-15-2009, 02:54 PM I know that "The Buzz" used to be a radio station here in Atlanta, but renamed so I am not sure if you would have problems with that one.
Techno 02-15-2009, 04:09 PM Oops. I read Turner.
I like Tuner.
