Another kind of marketing spam is like this email I got:
Dear Manager,
We received a formal application from a person who is called Jacques Tits is applying to register "xxx" as their domain names and Internet brand in Hong Kong and also in Asia on 2009-02-13. During our auditing procedure we find out that the alleged Jacques Tits has no trade mark, brand nor patent even similar to that word.As authorized anti-cybersquatting organization we hereby suspect the alleged Jacques Tits to be a domain or trademark grabber.Hence we need you confirmation for two things.First of all, whether this alleged Jacques Tits is your business partner or distributor in Asia.Secondly, whether you are interested in registering these domains and Internet brand instead of that alleged person.(The alleged Jacques Tits will be entitled to obtain a domain not needed by original trademark owner.)
If you are not in charge of this please forward this email to appropriate dept.
This is a letter for confirmation. If the mentioned third party is your business partner or distributor in Asia, please DO NOT reply. We will automatically confirm application from your business partner after this audit procedure.

And I answered them:
No, he is not our partner and he is not authorized to register any domain using our company brand, Please cancel his order immediately.
Again we got this from them:
Dear Manager,
Thank you for your reply. Now I confirm that Jacques Tits doesn't belong to your company. But you must know domain name register takes openly,it is equal for everyone to register. We follow the basis"first come, first serve"so we have no right to prevent Jacques Tits's application.Nowadays more and more cybersquatters online want to register quantities of domains, then they will take advantage of these domains to invest or occupy market, maybe they have other business purpose.Because it is related to your company's name and trademarks so you have the priority rights to register in order to prevent other guy from abusing your trademarks.
Provided you still need to protect those domains in view of the current trade links or in the future, instead of being taken by others thus potentially causing website confusion, resulting in the loss of customers, you could pre-register them through us,and an application form will be sent to start the whole operation. This is the only way to prevent domain name grab.Pls let us know your decision soon,so that we can handle the next step.Jacques Tits wants to register these domain names(xxx.asia xxx.cn xxx.hk xxx.in xxx.mobi )and internet brand(xxx).
Kind Regards,

As I got these spams from China and China is a well-known spammer, I believe nobody wanted to register our domain but that company wanted to forces us to register domains with irrelevant SLDs. Which kind of marketing using spam it is!

Hello,
That is usual. Just ignore the emails. They are not going to spend money registering anything unless you show interest. We just ignore those emails, and we receive plenty of them

To a moderator,
In order to not promote that spammer in google ranking as their link is here, please change the links to www [DOT] asianetwork [DOT] mobi and change email to heather [AT] asianetwork [DOT] mobi
but don't remove it completely because others should know who are spammers on the net.
