Hosted Subdomain: http://yellowshift.hlrse.net/
Desired Subdomain Clone/Mask: http://yellowshift.bluetoast.org/
For bluetoast.org, I added in yellowshift IN CNAME yellowshift.hlrse.net., but that will cause hlrse.net to bring up a cPanel webpage, as you can see by going to http://yellowshift.bluetoast.org/.
Some customer accounts are hosted as subdomain.hlrse.net, and obviously bluetoast.org is easier to remember. But the problem is that I do not want to go through the mess of fixing DNS entries by switching the domains hlrse.net and bluetoast.org around -- as bluetoast.org is under a totally different server and host, and customers are hosted hlrse.net's server. Some customers have asked if it would be possible if they could access their website by going to subdomain.bluetoast.org, since that would be easier to remember than the jumble of letters "hlrse."
Any help? =S I'm trying to do this the proper way without using a crappy redirection or "cloak" (framed webpage). I have Reseller WHM cPanel and Zone/DNS editting capabilities on hlrse.net, and I have some DNS editting capabilities on bluetoast.org. What should I do?
PS. bluetoast.org does not have cPanel, while hlrse.net does. Bluetoast.org uses DreamHost's semi-crappy custom made control panel.
