It would be much better while closing a topic, could you mention the Author who requested to close. It makes sense in a conversation which is going long.
If its closed by the Admin team, they can also leave a message.

My guess would be that the only person that could get it closed, other than mods, would be the thread starter. I guess there are exceptions to this but anytime I see a "closed by request of" I assume it's the thread starter. JMHO but read my sig.:D

I believe catfished is correct, where it would need to be the thread starter who requests it to be closed (in terms of versus other people requesting it). I could be wrong, though.

99.99% of the time, that's correct. It's a staff decision or by the OP's request.

If the other members request it to open, even though the thread started states it to close. Is it his sole ownership plays down here.
