Hey,

I would like to offer domain names for lease in conjunction with my hosting services.

I would like I system that I can cutomize easily using frames or through an online interface. I would prefer a reseller program where the startup cost is nominal.

I want a good system that is easy for my users to use!

Anybody have any experience (good or bad) in this area?

Thanks,
Michael

You can try OpenSRS.. You can use their API with templates which u can create. Fairly simple and easy to use.

I would go with enom.com they have a system that you can edit as well. Plus domains are only $8.50 a piece. You have to know either PHP or Perl pretty well.

Dotster jsut released their new API:

http://ir.dotster.com/home/

We are already a Dotster customer, so I am going to give it a host tomorrow and see how easy it is to setup :).

Well I checked out OpenSRS.

Because I wouldn't be doing a high volume it wouldn't be a good deal financially.

I looked at Dotster and I like the "unbranded email customer support!", but I haven't look at the costs involved yet.

I haven't checked out the two you suggested yet chicken, but I will.

uuallan, be sure to let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
Michael
