Tina, why dont you email cust support at Kayako? I have their systems running just fine on our servers.

You may contact myself for questions, however, I am limited to what i can help you with.

I can tell you this much... it's a great live chat tool

I did email them - several times, no response. Its all installed (both eSupport and LiveChat) - but they both have serious bugs that prevents them from being usable.

eSupport keeps telling us that we are leaving out required fields, when we attempt to submit a test ticket - despite the fact that everything is filled out. See: http://www.affordablehost.com/eSupport

LiveChad won't let us start a chat session. It asks us to log in as admin...which we do. Upon trying to start up the chat thing - it loops back to the log in screen. :bawling:

I need to get this working.

AffordableHost,

What OS are you running the client on, Linux? If so, then you have a problem, I noticed that LiveResponse only works well under Windows.

How can that be? So, are you saying I"m pretty much out the $79 I paid for it? What about the eSupport HelpDesk????

Well, the chat application itself will work under Windows or Linux, however it tends to hiccup quite a bit when running under Linux (not sure why).

I was out of office so couldnt answer emails on time. The issue was related to PHP installation (seems like a bug, because somehow PHP wont post when encoding="multipart..." is there in form tag, anyone know why?) and it has been rectified. (Had to remove that)

The LiveResponse issue was cookie related.

Just thought I would post a quick update on what happened. Please contact me directly at varun@kayako.com if anyone needs any more info.

Varun Shoor

Yes, I also would like to add that Varun more than took care of any problems we were having with eSupport and LiveChat. Minor problems.

I would DEFINITELY recommend eSupport and LiveChat to anyone looking for scripts to improve their support efficiency. :)
