Currently my site is..
About 120 meg/ 500 directories
uses 2.5 gig mo
About 250,000 pages month 80%static HTML 20% light CGI (wwwboard type script and associated add ons). All pages use SSI (
Growing by about 25%mo.. Will need Dedicated in a few months.

What I need
A stable server
VDI host.
Cpanel
500meg+ space
20gig+ transfer
telnet/ssh
static IP
I need to be able to run CGI from any directory. Scripts need to be able to create directories and copy files to those directories as well as create new files. I don't think this is unusual but I hate surprises.
support that is reachable, not 24/7 support that is unreachable after 5pm.
all the other goodies that normally come standard with a package of this level.

some help moving this extremely dynamic site as seamlessly as possible while maintaining the file permissions on the existing files.

Only one host wants to take this site on?!?!

I would suggest you go dedicated right now. Why go through the hassle of transfering if you plan on going dedicated in 3 months? Look into http://www.venturesonline.com for this, especially beig that you are looking for good support.

I'd love to go dedicated right now but ther just isn't enough income from this site right now to justify it...

As for taking this site dedicated. I do have advertisers and sponsors but a site that only is running 250,000 pageview a month , in my opinion, does not need a ded server. The main reason I'm looking is my current host is planning to move all their servers to a new data center. The way I have it figured I can accept the downtime for the move to the new data center or I can move to a new (and hopefully better) host and have a equal amount of downtime.
