Is there really a difference between VDI based companies?

I mean its the same control panel. Same backbone. Same datacenter.

Where are the differences?

The difference is the support you recieve both in technical and customer.

Ok, I figured that out.

As I said there are differences in the person, but besides that they are all the same.

When VDI went down. As far as I can tell, they all did.

Actually, there's no difference in the people. They all look the same and they're all named Bill. Different phone numbers, sure. But that's just to throw you off.

How many VDI companies use a different control panel the Cpanel.

How many vdi companies host win 2k servers?

Are there any VDI customers that are different.

To me there all the same.

I don't think I understand your point here, are you trying to say if you are using a NOC .. you are equal to everybody at that NOC ?

Come on, I trust you know better than that, look at it from a busines point of view, we are ALL different, different strategies, different business plans, different attitutes and different support.

I am going to be in colo.com; which for Carlos its $30 a sq ft. In any event I will be no where close to any of the other companies in there.

Yet VDI companies

Have the same control panel; the same datacenter; and well so many same instances.

I realize you have your own vision, but to me its all the same.

From the VDI companies I have looked at they all use cpanel.

They dont host win 2k servers.

It seems like even though they have different qualities like support, and vision, its the same companies with different people running them.

Ok, you are a far superior person and web host in every way. Why are you so concerned with it?

JBIZ718, you make complete sense to me. I agree with you a 100%..all webhosting companies are the same.. they offer the same service, webhosting. Most NOC back bones are the same, so the NOC is same too? All hosting companies run of computers, so they are the same again? they all use the same quality wires too.. and most good ones use cisco equipment..so they are all the same, correct? I think they are... i always thought they were all different..

*me feels stupid now*

thanx for pointing this out JBIZ718.

So they may not host Win2K servers. So what?

Why would anyone buy a Chrysler over a Dodge or Plymouth? They're all the same company. They all roll off the same assembly line. Yet there is brand loyalty among them. Why do you suppose that is?

I guess you haven't figured any of this out yet?

Okay, enough of this troll.

Actually, they will host Win2K servers. Just send them your server along with a Win2K license and they will install it on your server for you...

Just my opinion, but I find it pretty disheartening for the operator of a hosting company -- or any business, for that matter -- to say that the people behind each company, and the level of support they offer, is an unimportant consideration in comparing two companies.

Disheartening, but certainly something to remember while shopping around.

Hello! Those are the simiularities. Everything else = differences. Many of the hosts run their own versions of the control panel, but I guess youknew that, judging by the in-depth look you've made into VDI based companies. Curious, how many do you know of?

When VDI went down. As far as I can tell, they all did

And here's news- when catalog goes down, all of the catalog based hosts go down! And when tera-byte went down, all of the tera-byte based hosts went down.

I really don't get the feeling you know much about anything related to hosting? I sure know you won't be recommended by anyone on this board (not that you need it I know), due to troll like comments (the internet definition of a troll), and this will be your one, and final warning.

Asking about the differences between this and that VDi based host is one thing, but the phrasing of your question leaves MUCH to be desired.
