Hi Everyone,
We have received "warning of copyright" from two gaming company from oversea stating 3 servers which we host are running unlicense game servers. They just provide some background on their company and URL to their online website (in foreign language).
Questions:
#1, The warning letter did not exact follow DMCA guide lines and only provide IP and Port, shall we act in good faith and treat is as DMCA notification?
#2, I have read somewhere in DMCA, copyright holder must funish "evidence" in the alleged infringement. In our case, let's assume we treat is as DMCA, copyright holder only provided IP and port info. Do we need to verify or how can we verify the allegation?
If anyone of you guys have experience in this type of situation please provide your advice.
Thanks!
Shawn

I would probably do some research before taking any action. An IP:Port really does nothing to prove that they have "rights"

Thats the US copyright law site, and the DMCA is on there, you just have to look around a little, you could actually search and find it easily I'm sure. :D
