AH-Tina 09-19-2002, 01:02 AM There was a post here, a few months back, with the URL to a site that allows you to create small recordings...using their file library of voices. It was free and pretty cool!
Anyone remember that URL???

DJiMPaCT 09-19-2002, 01:04 AM Really? Did it sound like a robot?
AH-Tina 09-19-2002, 01:06 AM Not entirely. I mean, it sounded a bit like some of the automated phone operators...but it sounded good! If we had a need for it, I would definitely not be ashamed to use one of their recordings.
You could choose different people's voices and male/female.
BTW - I've been searching Google since my last post...looking for it for you!
AH-Tina 09-19-2002, 01:10 AM Found it! :D

DJiMPaCT 09-19-2002, 01:13 AM Ouch $5000? You bought this just to provide a message?
DJiMPaCT 09-19-2002, 01:14 AM Thank you for searching btw..

Check this one out :)
StartAnISP 09-19-2002, 02:29 AM I checked it out but neither of these would make good phone recordings in my opinion. Maybe if you wanted to sound like a high tech company, maybe like a gimmick that would be cool but past that I don't know.
DJiMPaCT 09-19-2002, 03:11 AM Yeah true :( there must be some one on here with a professional voice ;)
StartAnISP 09-19-2002, 03:27 AM I am terrible for recordings.. I am looking for the same thing to do our voice mail and a few other things.

This is the quote I received:
"Could you please forward your script for an exact rate. Ballpark is $75-$150 depending on the size.
Turnaround time is 24 hours from the time we receive payement. For your convenience, we accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express at www.mktmania.com/paymentcenter.html
Looking forward to hearing from you"
StartAnISP 09-19-2002, 01:20 PM I got a response from them too pretty quick. I can at least say that about them so far..

She is a friend of mine does it on the side. Quite good at it too.
WildCard 09-19-2002, 04:54 PM What does she sound like?
Any idea what's better, a male or female voice mail voice?
I personally think female would be more relaxing, but just curious if anyone has ever seen a psych study done on the subject or anything...
