View Full Version : Do registrars provide affiliate program for their domain services?
greatandrew 01-27-2009, 10:27 AM Hello guys! As I informed you earlier I am going to launch one hosting related project really soon and would like to add up to 20 companies to earn from affiliates as well. Could you please advise good domainers with honest affiliate program to sell their services? Thanks in advance!
SiberForum 01-27-2009, 11:27 AM Maybe reseller services? I suppose that with low cost for domain name registration and annual payments affiliate will not be competitive with other affiliate programs. ;)
greatandrew 01-27-2009, 12:36 PM ok, but if any domain company has such an affiliate program I will be very glad to add their link to my site!
Techno 01-27-2009, 05:44 PM GoDaddy, Yahoo, 123-Reg, Dotster, Netfirms, & Network Solutions have affiliate programs through Commission Junction. Sign up at www.cj.com I have had best results with the GoDaddy links.
Mike - Limestone 01-27-2009, 06:53 PM Just note that (as another poster alluded to) registrar domains markups tend to be quite low, so there's typically not too much money to put into an affiliate program. Reseller programs seem to be far more common.

Do you know any direct affiliate programs?
dreamcodedesign 01-28-2009, 09:10 PM I know Registar.com has an affilate program. http://www.registar.com/affiliate.shtml I'm not sure of any others.
Atarim 01-28-2009, 10:19 PM If you're a host, you might want to find a domain affiliate program from someone who does not also offer hosting, or you may find your hosting business being sent to them as well.

That makes alot of sense, do you know of any.. I've been looking to add this option also to my hosting site...
unlasheddeer 01-29-2009, 08:22 AM andrew, i think name.com has an affiliate program
unlasheddeer 01-29-2009, 08:30 AM also, one more thing that i thought of just now when i read your plan...
If you are gonna sign up with lots of hosting affiliate programs, why not actually sign up with a domain reseller program, where you can put your own company name, etc.
The key part here would be that hardly any support is required for domain names, and you would be earning much more than an affiliate program.
also, you will have a ready base of customers, whom you can sell other stuff also later on.
