View Full Version : SWsoft - Plesk 8.1 for Windows - The developers are absolutely a joke

Hello to all WHT users.
First I will start with the fact that SWsoft started to make moderate over their forum and any new post which I write need to be approved by moderator.
WHY?
Because I find alot's a bugs in SWsoft crap software and everytime I advertise about it in their fourm and probably they become ashamed from this.
HOW such big company with High level of QA has bugs. haa ?
So now let's talk business.
The new bug which I have found in Plesk 8.1 for windows (and I sure that it's exist in their new crap Plesk 9 for windows) is:
1) create a new client account , the name of the client account need to be started with numbers.
2) create new domain account under the client account
3) now create a MySQL database. Plesk will advice you to use the name of the client account as prefix. but you remeber , the client account name is started with a number.
4) plesk will execute a command while the argument of 'port' is empty but still the argument is sent but without a value.
5) you remember that the name of the new database started with a number.
so the number is becoming a port ? why ? because Plesk executing a command while the value of the argument port is emtpy.
6) so , for example if the number is 9 , then plesk will try to create a new database in MySQL which is running on port 9.
SWsoft Developers , you are a joke , absolutely a joke , even India programmers can develope better software then you develope. I find too much bugs in SWsoft crap software.

The issue with Plesk support isn't anything new. I was extremely bothered by the VZ ads within the cp long ago, but from that I learned not to expect much from them.. Other than what I got that is.

I don't think that discriminating indian programmers or getting mad on the Parallels forum will help.
Starting from the point that every windows control panel that i know has some bugs (or features missing) that is not making me (and the clients as well) 100% satisfied.
Unfortunatelly we're all used to get a bad or slowly support from Parallels (except when i worked with companies that had plesk platinum support. In that case i can say that my experience with their support was almost amazing).
That said, Only thing we can do actually is submitting the bugs we discovered to them and hope that in the next Plesk release some of them will be resolved.

I sorry. Company which doesn't make QA is software company which sell nothing for alot of money.
The users/clients are not workers of SWsoft and we don't need to assist in the QA process. I realy sorry.

Of course Users/clients are not Parallels workers, but they need reviews and feedback from them, like any other company, to improve the product.
The question is...how many time Parallels take to convert the feedbacks they get into a software improvment?
From my point of view...too much.

Try transfering the accounts from plesk 8 series to 9 you will find another bug

The majority of Parallels Developers are from Russia/Ukraine.

I know....most of parallels support staff is located in russia as well.
