I downloaded 2.7 a couple days ago and it ran great. The admin screen was normal. In fact about an hour ago it was normal too, but not anymore. Now the admin screen is kind of hard to describe. It's like got long horizontal lines that go across the page and when I click on an admin function I have to then scroll to the bottom of the screen to do anything w/ it. I can edit my blog, but it is now a pain in the ars. Anyone else have this issue or know what to do about it?

It would probably help if you could post a screenshot.
We use wordpress and have never experienced this, my first thought is that it might be a wigged out browser.

I have 2.7 on a few of my blogs with no issues. I'm also on a bunch of blogging forums and have not heard of any issues like what you are describing.

I also use 2.7 and have no issues with it, nor do I know anyone having issues w/ it besides you. At this point, I would simply reinstall. If I find another fix, I'll be sure to let you know!

Are you on a VPS or Dedicated Server? If so and you're using a caching agent such as xCache or eAccelerator, it's possible that your tmp directory is filling up.
I've ran across all sorts of problems with clients where their tmp directory fills up and all of a sudden, categories stop working, all categories are sorted to "Uncategorized" and it seems all of the content is wiped, when in reality it's not.

A screenshot would definitely help, but would knowing for sure I'd suggest backing up your template & plugins, then reupload the main wp files.

Looks like its not loading all the styles, double check that the path to your CSS files are correct.

I feel like a noob, but how do I do that? And then how do I know if they are? and how do I fix them?

Maybe you're having connection or cache issues, because your wordpress (using the URL in your image) loads and looks fine.

Your about page looks fine.

Does appear as above - no content and just one Uncategorized category.

I should have mentioned I am on a shared server w/ just host. I know the front page looks fine. Its the weirdest thing. Its the backend that is the prob. It is just one of those things that is bugging me like crazy.

I fixed it. a css file was corrupt, but I wasn't sure which one so I re uploaded only the css folder and it fixed the problem while leaving my front end the way I had edited it.
