it's just for me or dv2 is down?

My server is down too. It's a pity there's no prior announcement about this.

It's down for me, too. Did a search here and found this from sailor written today (9/17/02):

router upgrades are happening tonight at 2 am est

so, maybe the outage is due to their router upgrades.

too bad they didn't announce us...

It really is too bad they didn't let us know ahead of time. I'm just glad I don't have anything mission critical there right now...

All of our servers are back up. They went down at about 2:15

I don't think they upgraded any servers, just their network routers. If I had gotten email about it, I wouldn't have been worried and up this late at night. Oh, well. It's back up now.

And the email said its going to be done at a time that is good for our customers..

But it seems they forget that not everyone using the servers are in the same time zone as the rest.

Anyway it was just about peak time for us here in Australia.

It happens to all providers but its just about time to move :)

They did announce it - check their forum at http://tranxactglobal.com. Lucky eservers told us that they were also doing it today - the forum post txadmin made was for 17th.

Also, this only seemed to affect servers going through one router or one part of core - other server was not affected at all (running monitoring scripts too)

I got 2 emails regarding this, one 3 days before the planned maintenance last week and again today regarding the second stage (Also advised last week too)

All clients advised wednesday of last week, so no suprises here.

Bring in the new providers now and all will be sweet again :)

According to the email, they wont be lit for another couple of weeks yet.

Luckily we don't suffer much downtime, about 3 minutes.

This was announced and publicized waaaaay ahead of time.

this was announced well in advance. Sorry to our mates down under - realize this was peak time for you - with a global opperation itw as going to be peak for someone - i will consider shifting this next time so it does not hit a particular country everytime.

Sailor, your TOS seems to be invalid due to it's lack of completeness, or is too convoluted to understand.

It is missing the section numbers for referrence effectively diluting the information within it.

also - we will only be emailing members of our forum on our new server availability - so if any one wants to be notified of new servers - sign up. we will also password our signup site and the password for signups will be included in the emails.
