TheMMIz 09-17-2002, 09:17 PM Id check out cnet.com, they have both professional reviews and user opinions. I bought a few a year or so ago, and back then KDS was rated really well, along with being right around $300, though the price has gone up since then. Good luck. JMD 09-17-2002, 09:18 PM Viewsonic has a good display out cwshost 09-17-2002, 10:21 PM goto tcwo.com for good pricing RackFive 09-17-2002, 10:24 PM my sony vaio have a really good LCD 15 inch monitor :D peteny 09-17-2002, 11:16 PM Viewsonic, NEC... ckpeter 09-17-2002, 11:50 PM I recommend KDS. I am using their RAD 5 15' LCD, and it is very nice. I could write two pages on this, but to save my time, you can read about the reviews on amazon.com and eopinions.com. I recommend going with amazon for the unbeatable support. As a matter of fact, I had an interesting story with the LCD that I am using now. I got the first one, but there was one dead red pixel on the top, which amazon promptly replaced for me, free of charge or shipping. The second one was a little dim. This time, KDS sent a replacement, again free of shipping. Because they both sent replacement before I have to return the old item, at one point, I had 3 LCD on my desk. I set up two of them in a dual setup, and it was very nice. Did I mention this is also one of the most affordable one on the market? I got it from amazon.com for $335 with free shipping. (Irony: one month later I got a Gold box coupon for another $30 off, but I already bought the first one and can't afford a second LCD, so the 60 minute coupon was useless to me). Peter mind21_98 09-18-2002, 01:16 AM It's not 15 inches but what about those big plasma displays? I bet you could run a pretty nice desktop on it. (get your employer to pay for it! :D) racksimon 09-18-2002, 02:03 AM I recommend Samsung 15" LCD :) Fiber 09-18-2002, 03:22 AM Yeah, Samsung makes the best LCD's. I like the 181T, but that's too much for your wallet. They do make good 15" though, as the others. KShoK 09-18-2002, 04:29 AM I use Acer. It has good resolutions. Ultravox 09-18-2002, 10:01 AM I would recomment for Samsung. Ultravox 09-18-2002, 10:01 AM I would recommend for Samsung. ubergeek22 09-18-2002, 04:55 PM I recommend NEC - I've got one and it's great, especially for gaming or watching DVDs (better quality than my TV :D ) Mike the newbie 09-18-2002, 04:55 PM Eizo L365 (http://www.eizo.com/products/lcd/l365/spec.html). Compare contrast ratios, brightness and response times. graham 09-18-2002, 06:20 PM For the money I would recommend the KDS Rad-5. Very clear display. -graham susannad 09-19-2002, 12:10 AM samsung ! |
