Does anyone have any experience with Spamcop.net?

I received a spam complaint from them in regards to a newsletter who is not affilicated with us. They use some of our website content on occasion with permission and supply a direct URL to our original content location. I have known thesse guys for 5-6 years and they do not spam.

I received a spamcop notification, but the original sender and newsletter owner did not. I received a spamcop notification as did my upstream providers. I have replied to the sender through spamcop and email spamcop directly to get our website off of this report. I also sent this to the abuse and postmaster at my upstream provider.

My question is: What are my rights and what should I do to get our website off of this report?

Spamcop picked it out as a URL referenced in the spam the complainant received. That's why you got copied.

As to what your "rights" are - there are no "rights". It's just a complaint. If your provider contacts you about it, you can point out that the only thing in that spam is a URL to your site. However, you should seriously reconsider allowing your content or links to your site being used by people who spam, as it winds up being bad news all around. If you think they don't spam, then you can ask them why someone complained about receiving email from them and see if there is a suitable answer.
