Hey guys Im new to the forum but I really need to change co-location companies. I need a place that allows me to send a plesk server which a company knows how to manage if it goes down. I need 90% uptime and around $2-3 per gig transfer I need the cheapest and the best at the same time. Im currently with IOPLIANCE.COM which absolutly down 30% of the time. They no longer have colocation on there cause basically they have a horrible uptime. So if you guys know of anything please reply thanks!

I know all about the whole iOpliance situation. I feel your pain. Most hosts will allow you to have anything you want on your colocated server.

Plesk has a list of "product resellers" on their site, and it looks like several of them do colo. If you're looking for a host that knows Plesk-based server administration, that might be a good place to start: http://www.plesk.com/partnership/resell.php

Yes, I need a colocation wich knows how to deal with the Plesk problems and offers 90% or better uptime. I already have a system I want to send. I really would need a list of companies that offers cheap rackspace and setup $2-3 per gig transfer. If you know please share the wealth.

dtwebworks.com
vdi.net
venturesonline.com
burst.net

To name a few... Not sure on pricing on most of those though...

Those prices are too high. I'm looking into a cheaper price. It costs $70 rackspace and then $3 per gig where im at now.

"and offers 90% or better "
You should be looking for at least 99%.
90% uptime means 72 hours (3 days) downtime per month.

This thread has been edited, as it was straying a bit off track. I have however, left a few comments on the posts that have been removed (some questions/comments posted):

Recommending, same as promoting. No can do.

"I understand the problem - it could lead to people essentially making up names to ask for hosts and then the hosts recommending themselves. However, there is no real way to prevent people from advertising for themselves, diguised as others. Anyway..."

-you'd think that would work, wouldn't you, but 99% of the time members pick up on it, and it only leads to the host's name and URL being censored from the forums.

If you are, "looking into a cheaper price. It costs $70 rackspace and then $3 per gig where im at now.", could you please post the exact amount you are looking for and make sure your email is turned on in your profile? Hard to recommend when everyone has to guess. Alternatively, you can post a request in the Advertising Forum, and hosts may respond there with offers and/or discuss it directly with you there.

Let's stay on track, if possible.

Sorry to step on any toes. Just rented a RackShack server (Cobalt though) and she is performing great.
