Ok just wondering, how many concurrent users serfing a website do you think that could manage?

i need to upgrade my current connection to the server and am thinking of getting a 10MB dedicated line.

Also, does anyone who lives in the UK have a ruff idea of the monthly charges of lines at this speed

thanx.

10MB could handle a good deal of concurrent users.

You figure there are quite a few web hosts, that use 10MB dedicated lines. Some of those companies host alot of sites, and each one of those sites could receive a good deal of traffic.

We have a fiber connection provisioned for 10mbps here at a fairly large hospital/clinic system. That connection support over 7000 employees and all the links to about 30 satellite locations. Though the people are NOT SUPPOSED to be doing non-business related surfing... Many do not even have access to internet resources except through the medical library. Our link rarely breaks 10% and never 20% utilization. Though at times we used to kill our old T1.
