Hello All,
I have recently gone dedicated not for hosting other people but for my own personal needs, i used to be a cpanel user but for the cost of things i decided to go plesk this time round, the interface and settings are completely different and i am alittle bit lost.
Does plesk 8.6 come with ftp? I keep trying to connect but it says "Found server, waiting for welcome message" then it hangs up and times out.
psa-proftpd 1.3.1-cos5.build86080722.00 is installed.
Can anyone shed any light?

make sure you setup your hostname correct in plesk otherwise ftp dont work

Try to check /var/log/messages file for any FTP specific errors. Also, check following KB article, just in case http://kb.parallels.com/en/929
