Anyone else having problems viewing the board in Netscape today???

Everything seems to be messed up though it all works fine in IE...

Sorry I should have answered back. It went back to working fine before anyone answered this thread.

The thread was so far down I figured no one would answer it. Anyway for a little while everything was messed up and then it started working again. Very strange.

Hey, it's better than the Web browser I'm trying to write in VB for fun. (for those in the know, I'm doing it the long way; not through the IE ActiveX control. :D)

Mozilla has a built in popup ad blocker, not to mention ChatZilla, the IRC client. Unless you're referring to ActiveX support and VBScript?

Does IE have a pop-up ad blocker?

Does IE have skinning without use of add-on programs?

Does IE have tabbed browsing?

I can go on for more.....

But what IE does have is PLENTY of EXPLOITS and BUGS.....

not saying that netscape or mozilla doesn't have their fair share, but at least we know they will be fixed instead of denied of it's existence like MS always does....

ActiveX support and VBScript are too of the main things I was reffering too, however there are other things the browser doesn't have.

To design, in my opinion anyway you need the browser which supports the most features. It's an ActiveX control, but you can't even view something as simple as transparent flash in netscape.

2)Doesn't have a pop blocker but pop-ups can be turned off in other ways. So even though IE doesn't directly address it, you still have the capability of disabling them.
3)Skins are for winamp or message boards. A browser is used just for that, to browse. As far as designing or viewing a website, a skin changes the performance in what way? None.

But your argument was that Netscape lacked features NO?

I could admit that.

However, I meant as far as viewing a website. Not features that have no effect on actual browsing/viewing. It's like putting a sunroof on a beetle. It's still a beetle

Well, Netscape does have plugins to support active x you know.....;)

Anyways, end of this....hehehe this debate has gone on for many years. And what i'll appreciate most is that the IE fans out there not trash Netscape for what they do not know or understand.

As long as noone here is talking about NN4, then Mozilla is perfectly fine :)

I made a try at moving a while ago, from IE to N6, but got pissed off at the news browser.. but I don't use newsgroups so much now, so who knows.. one day :) (I do have it installed though.. allong with Moz/O5/NN4/IE5.5 :D)
