Why is this so hard to find? I´ve been searching for hours. I want a ASP-enabled host that do not charge me yearly, but monthly or quarterly, within acceptable price range. Basic features, really. ASP + MySQL.
The trubbles comes when i try to check out. Godaddy for instance. Trying to finish my order, but they still want my creditcard information (dont use visa, master or amex).
EasyCGI was very close. They accept true paypal-payment, but only on a yearly basis.
Do anyone know why this is so hard for them? And/or do you know any host that fit the requirements?

Hard? There are many providers here that can meet your requirements like databasemart.com .

They don't accept because it's a big risk. I could "hack" someone's paypal, transfer the funds to an unverified account then go on a buying spree, once paypal realise I've already spent it and they've got to get the funds back from wherever I spent it, therefore they lose the money. If it's verified there's proof of who you are and they can come after you.

Well people are after to find a good web host and they don't care that much about payment option.
There are some good host which you can go with them on monthly basis, i think hostgator is one of them have you checked that out if he can meet your requirements.

You should be having no problems finding a host! Most hosts will accept PayPal now days, and monthly payment options as well. Just search the offers section of the forums and i'm sure you will find many good hosts with your requirements.
Good Luck :)

The reason why the popular shared hosting companies charge on a 1 year minimum or more basis and rarely have monthly is because of affiliate commissions. They have to pay out sometimes up to $150 to acquire customers, and it doesn't make sense to do that when collecting only, let's say $10 bucks a month from a customer.
The ROI on the customer is a lot longer.
As for PayPal, not sure why hosts won't accept PayPal -- I think it's a great service.

Whether they collect $10 per month or $120 per year, it makes rather little difference, especially if prorated refunds are being offered. Assuming they aren't, the monthly option is only riskier if the host doesn't trust its own ability to retain the customer long enough to start making a profit.
Underfunding may also be a reason. If the company doesn't have the cash to pay for its current advertising volume (the commissions you mention would come out of the marketing budget), then it indeed needs the prepayment. Personally, I think that host requiring yearly payments are losing a fair number of potential customers, as many want the ability to pay monthly, if only to try out the host for a short while.
Unfortunately the OP is looking for hosting among the budget hosts, and the chances of decent priced monthly hosting, without an outrageous setup fee that encourages yearly payments, are quite diminished.

This shouldn't be an issue. ASP + MySQL should be available as a standard feature with most of the Windows hosting providers. Also, I've found most of the hosts accepting paypal payments. You can look around the offers section to get some good deals on Windows hosting. Be sure to check the reviews of your prospective hosts using the 'Search' feature on top right corner of the page.
Good luck!

They are very rude people and you will never get the service that they promise. Servers are very slow and support is almost non-existent. Still if you submit ticket or post in forum, they threaten to close your account. Forum posts are deleted in their forums. I am going to leave them soon as soon as I am having some money to buy new hosting. You can think of ultimahosting or jodo hosting as I am also thinking of them when I end with reliablesite. If you find another host, share with me.

You can probably email the host - or open a live chat - and ask about Paypal-based payments without a Paypal subscription. Most hosts should be able to do that for you.

It's Ultima Hosts :). Yes we do accept paypal and also do monthly billing. In fact we prefer it this way.

So did you changed your hosting with ultimahosts or jodo? I never heard about jodo unless I read your post. Did you try them? How was your experience?
