Hi there,
I've been looking for a suitable program to view/send/receive/delete emails which can be used on my desktop, just looking for opinions on what you guys use really.
I setup Windows Mail today because i fancied a change from going on the internet to view my emails. I think this little program is fantastic actually and i'd think about using it quite a lot now, never new it came with windows vista to be quite honest.
Let me know your thoughts!

We use Outlook across the board in an Exchange environment and some of our developers use Entourage on their Macs

I used thunderbird here. I was a big outlook fan for awhile but moved over to thunderbird and have not looked back - for email.
I still end up using outlook for my calendar which syncs with my windows mobile phone.

I also use Outlook on XP, but by no means is this the only option. Check out the free Thunderbird - http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

It is easy to backup and restore if your desktop crashed :-)

I use windows mail. Since I have separate emails, like a sales, billing, support, I redirect all of them to my main one, and just check that one.

Switch to a Mac and that "desktop crashed" crap will be a thing of the past :)
We use Mail by Mac (v3.5 and it works great!!!)

Is the Mac immune to hardware failures which cause the OS to crash or stop responding? Are you saying that you have never experienced a single program fault ever using a Mac?
