i hope this is the right section, i just bought a dedicated server with cpanel. The problem is i dont have a clue about how to setup DNS functions and making sure server is secure. I am looking for someone to do this for me.

If your server is managed ask your datacentre for either help on securing your server or for them to provide official links that provide help and tutorials for doing so.
A simple search in google is usually quite helpful but if you don't know what security measures you would like to take then i'd suggest following the above step.

make sure u setup a firewall as that is the number one protection method - very important

DNS is done right through the WHM interface. You will just want to goto modify dns for whatever domain you create. Thats all there is to it on a cpanel server. If your looking for security, just do some searching on this board for "securing cpanel server" or similar, you will find tons of usefull information. A good site thats often reccomended is eth0.us as well.

I would recommend Platinum Server Management - Can't really beat the price, even if you stay only a month - it's worth every penny at $29.95.
