Include magento (magentocommerce.com) too.
Zencart had been very solid and been around for quite sometime.
Don't really like cubecart & have no comment on ubercart. Never try before.
Magento & prestashop are the newest ecommerce shopping cart to consider.
Prestashop is quite good and easy to install. Have all the features you need to run a shopping site.
Magento is power-pack with more advanced features.. still alittle buggy but worth checking it out. Installation is not so easy. However, you can always get your host to install for free if you need the help.

Thanks Mxhub
I am considering to built a website based on Drupal hence my preference to ubercart. What do you think about Drupal? Any other good CMS for professional use? Stability and security is very important as well as easy of use, after the learning curve of course.
Best

Drupal and joomla are good cms. However, make sure you validate the plugins / extensions you are going to use for them. Some of these plugins/ extensions can be badly coded and lead to unwanted exploit.

Thanks for your replies, really appreciated guys. What CMS would you suggest to combine with an e-shop? Both need to be light on resources, support digital downloads in the future and be secure/reliable. Also very important if could control my affiliates through e-shop or somehow would be ecxellent. Thank you for your time and effort. I am not so experienced in softwares but I am expert in hardware and fault diagnosis in IT systems, HDD recovery, how to built pcs/ what laptop spec etc. If you need my help let me know.
All the best for now

If a nice website needed with an e-shop but without the forums and various plug in. What would you suggest? Is a sitebuilder like RvSite with wysiwyg sufficient? Could you please post your experience/ideas?

If you need to run an eCommerce store a WYSIWYG sitebuilder will not be sufficient. You should look into something which is simple and nice and I will recommend PrestaShop for this. :agree:

Hi JLHC
Sorry for the cofusion, I mean to install an e-shop like prestaShop as you say to a website build by RvSite instead of building a website with CMS like Drupal, Joomla. Considering safety, reliability and ease of update, what do you think is the best combination?
Thanks

Well since RVSite is a WYSIWYG type of sitebuilder, I do not advise you to do that. However you can try doing so by having the RVSite built website as your main page and install PrestaShop maybe under the subdomain "shop". ;)

Thank you very much JLHC,
resources wise do you think is better a site builder with an e-shop or a CMS with plug in eshop? How these 2 optioms compare to each other. I am sorry if I ask a lot but I have not implement any eshop to website yet and try to do it in the best possible way. I really appreciate your time and effort.
Cheers

Well it does not really make any difference if you are running both of them separately (only linked to each other). Otherwise you may also want to look into the CMS feature in the shopping cart.

Hello again
How would you normally build a website with PrestaShop then. Do you coded by your self, use a template or? How do you you implement PrestaShop in a website, not as subdomain, and what are the requirements? Could you give an example of how can be done?
Thank you so much?
