According to the records on their Whois (http://whois.domaintools.com/domainit.com) they have 13 years. But I have never herd of the neither.

What makes you interested in Domainit.com?

I stumbled across them via Google when comparing what was available as far as registrars. I like their interface. I asked them a couple of questions and it seems like they have good customer service. This all however doesn't necessarily mean they are worth signing on with.
I like to hear as many personal opinions as I can before going with something. Thank you for any ideas!
p.s. how does someone become a Junior Guru on this forum posting replies like:

Ok. I've used them in the past, but transferred out because they're really not where I want to hold my domains. It was quite a while ago (maybe 2 years). Personally, I prefer to use Name.com for registrations. Use a coupon code to get registrations for $7.49 with free whois privacy (that works).

why weren't they where you wanted to hold your domains?

I've used domainit and they are a pretty good registrar and Paul is a very honest guy. I don't think you could go wrong with them.

Actually I stumbled on it on google not to long ago myself when wanting to transfer from IYD. They're fairly good and no issues so far. I have a bit over 10 domains there now.
Transferring to them was fairly smooth and their support was great during the whole process (had issues at first due to IYD). Response time was less than a day.

I personally didn't like their control panel that much.

Agreed, I happen to prefer Enom's control panel much more.

Once you find a company to register a domain with - don't forget to apply their discount coupon as well! Almost all reliable domainers provide discount coupons for their services!

It is important whether you need domain registrar for your own domain names or you need a bulk domain account. This is very different criteria. It affects on the features you need to use.
