View Full Version : I´m in Barcelona
Lonny 09-16-2002, 05:28 PM Hello All
I´m visiting Barcelona right now.... what an amazing place '- has anyone ever been here or even lives here?
SoftWareRevue 09-16-2002, 05:34 PM I think you're drunk, Lonny.
You're not in Barcelona at all.
You're in WHT. I know you are. You're posting here.
How could you be in Barcelona, if you're here?
That does not compute.
Get back to work! Slacker!
:D
JKLIVIN 09-16-2002, 06:04 PM my question, is what the hell are you doing on a computer when you are in Barcelona? go see something, or run with the bulls or something

Right country, wrong city :D
MCHost-Marc 09-16-2002, 07:34 PM I've been living waaaaaaaay south of Barcelona for almost 4 years, but been in Barcelona several times.
What to see:
Ciutadella Park: The Barcelona zoo
Barri Gotic: Full of 19th century architecture
Montjuic: Beautiful views over Barcelona.
Montserrat: A little outside of Barcelona, getting there you'll drive through lots of small spanish-style villages.
Don't miss: Sagrada Familia, Nou Camp (if you're a soccer fan), Miro and Picasso Museums (if you're an art fan) and the Barcelona Bull Ring.
What to eat:
Paella Valenciana: Rice with chicken or fish, tomato, etc.
Paella Negra: Black paella with fish, calamares, camarones (kind-of calamares), garlic.
Empanada Gallega: Tuna, olives, tomato, onion and garlic filled pie. (Not typical for Barcelona, but from the north of spain).
A good advice ...look for the 'local' restaurants, far away from the tourist areas. If you see tourist buses or tourist rental cars, don't eat there. If you have lots of time left, drive south, about 6-8 hours one-way to Denia, Javea, Moraira and Alicante.
Hope this helps :D
