Hello,
I have a few accounts (less than 20) and I need a reliable reseller account for them. By reliable I mean both good up-time and reliable backups.
I was looking at innohosting, hostdime, hostgator, ... but their starter reseller account starts from at least $18-$20.
My budget is $12-$15/month and I need at least 2G of space (I use very little bandwidth because most of the websites are small business websites and they just use a few email accounts).
I am currently with prioritycolo but they charge me more than $200/year for just 600M of space and most of that space goes to spamassasin/log files and I get less than 300M of useful space.
Thanks,
Mac

They don't do log rotation? Sounds bad! Your budget might be a little low IMO.

Do you need to have overselling enabled? Some provider will impose a small fee for it to be enabled as well.
You may also want to contact them to see whether they will do custom plans.

200$ per year for 600M of space is a bit pricy to say the least, I'd say shop around and you will find much better deals from the providers here on WHT.

KnownHost.com (http://www.knownhost.com/services/reseller.html) offers a 5GB/40GB resellers account for $114/yr.
Search (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php) for reviews, you'll find most of them in the VPS Forum.

Thanks guys.
JLHC, Overselling is less important to me. As I said my users have small websites but I need to provide good up-time and almost 100% safe and properly working email service.
I had my dedicated servers in past but I became busy and left hosting business. Now I do it for friends and my own websites.

And once you have big customer overselling will become your problem as well. Think about that now. That is important for your end users first of all.

Thanks. As I said I have given up on hosting. I just do it for myself and my friends.

I use CPanel/WHM. I guess the exact number does not matter with WHM. I am just looking for user suggestions and not direct offers from providers (as it for sure is against forum rules).
Thanks.

RossMan, they only offer annual payment. I do not want to pay for a year before I try them for a while.
- I unfortunately obtained an account with a cheap Canadian host (i.e. $7.5/month diligenthost) 2 days ago and they are down for almost 1 hour now and besides it took them 13 hours to answer a simple question yesterday.
- People, isn't there a reliable host out there for around $10-$13/month. I need relatively small resources (i.e. 2G space + 15-20G bandwidth).
- How is geekstorage by the way? I saw on their forums that they have had more than a few 30 minutes - 60 minutes server down times this month.

I'm sorry to cut into this thread, however I have to disclaim this statement. Our servers are not down and they are checked every minute. You may be locked up in our firewall, reply to the ticket you had via e-mail with your IP address. As for your ticket, there are none of "open" status, also please let me know your ticket # and I'll look into it.

I was not even able to reach your website. I did not know how to submit a ticket! because your main website is on the same server as my reseller account.
Just now I sent an email to a support@yourdomain and got reply (this email is not mentioned in any place on your website by the way).
Thanks for your reply.

Check out dathorn.com (http://www.dathorn.com/hosting-reseller.php) which has been around for a few years and has a good reputation.
I had a resellers account with them a few years ago but cancelled it when I upgraded to a ServInt.net VPS.

It's not the same server, we have a hardware firewall at the switch, which is why you'd be blocked before even reaching any server.
The e-mail is not advertised because only registered clients e-mail addresses can reply/create support tickets using that address. The feature is technically available so people don't have to login to reply/create their support tickets, but it also lets blocked IPs do the same as well. However I have now taken this into consideration and will be placing that e-mail address + information in the automated welcome e-mail.
It's no problem, we're glad to help out and hope this didn't affect your production much!
