<< original title: Hypernia.net - Avoid >>
Reasons being:
Ridiculous wait time for (ventrilo) server activation.
Supposed "24/7 online support" does not exist.
Horrible customer notification of policies, procedures or delays.
I will be filing a dispute with Paypal to return my payment, since eight hours after the order is placed, I have received no contact or verification. Their "24/7 support" cannot be contacted by live chat, or phone to resolve this issue. They "guarantee" 6-hour setup.
Just another frustrating encounter with a hosting provider. Maybe next time I'll be smart and pay the extra $2 for a host that offers instant activation via an automated system.

Hi,
I work for Hypernia and have checked our records.
I see a order for Ventrilo from you came in at
04 Jan 2009 08:47 PM
Our reply with the set-up info and login was posted back to you at 04 Jan 2009 09:16 PM Clearly within 30 minutes.
I also show no other tickets from you within our support Portal.
I do however see a note in your signup ticket that indicates you used a Gmail address and it should have been hotmail.
Please feel free to submit a ticket at http://support.hypernia.com or email us directly support[at]hypernia.com which will open a ticket in your name. We will be glad to help you with any issues you may have.

Upon checking the logs for this server I see that it was accessed Approx.4 hours ago. the server name was changed and a ADMIN login was recorded.
Also could you please elaborate on this comment..
"Horrible customer notification of policies, procedures or delays."
We would be glad to address any issues or concerns you have.

30 minutes doesn't sound unreasonable.. since it doesn't appear that you'd logged in - did you check your junk folder for ticket system replies from them?

The problem has been clarified and resolved. I will address my previous statements:
Ridiculous wait time for (ventrilo) server activation.
Though the posted times are six hours, activation time rarely takes that long. My account was actually activated within 30 mins, which I will address at the close.
Supposed "24/7 online support" does not exist.
I will amend this statement to: The queue times for live support, and phone support are a bit long, but overall worth the wait.
Horrible customer notification of policies, procedures or delays.
The notifications and delays not showing were my own fault. Moral of the story: Never trust the auto-complete function of a web browser to not select an e-mail address you haven't used in years. For that, I am an idiot and apologise.
As for the customer support:
Despite my acting like a raving <expletive deleted>, the team at Hypernia were very helpful, and quite tolerant- Even showing some humor in the situation to lighten things up.
They investigated, brought the error I had made to my attention, and made it very simple to fix my problem. I really couldn't ask for anything more.
Overall, If you can manage to provide them with the correct information, it's a smooth process. I'd purchase services from them again, especially if you consider how they reacted to my overreaction. Truly professional.
