I recently got news from couple of emails and friends that resellerclub.com (Directi) is now going to offer cPanel/WHM hosting option..
I understand most of resellers from RC must be buying dedicated servers and selling cPanel/WHM hosting - in this case it is going to be touch competition as you have opt-in for dedicated servers to resell and give direct control to your end clients, but your resellers will fight with you for great bargain on WHM reseller hosting..
I have already started looking for alternate domain registrar as we have 3000+ domains with RC, but they now look towards taking my breads and butter
any comments...

just disable the hosting service in your account and all your subresellers will not have access to it

ResellerClub to my understanding are considering it. I don't think they have made any decision yet although based on a second survey I received I think they will make a change to a cPanel hosting.
And yes, you can turn off the ability to sell hosting products and only sell domain products. You can then also modify your site to link to your own pages selling your hosting. Keep in mind they also have an API you can use.

Presently we have already disable that - but question here is of policy, as Directi or Resellerclub was initially launched helping web hosting companies, but now their policy is towards cutting web-hosting companies..
if you look at theplanet / rackspace / layertech / ENOM / etc business model than you will see they do not want to create competition but other hand helping web-hosting companies to grow - but in RC it is something fishy..
we have already started looking for alternate - as we do not prefer supporting companies who is gonna eat you end of the day
i received a mail from them too, but dont think they mentioned anything about moving to cpanel..
If thats true, I think they are doing so to target a wider market base and trying to keep up with mkt demand. There are so many web hosts and most of them are very competitive. Therefore, RC will be just another fish in the sea

The email I recieved made referances to Cpanel or other control panels that are not custom designed.
