Can anyone recommend a reliable web host that have their datacenter(s) located in Canada. We are looking to get a reseller plan that will enable us to resell windows and linux hosting along with Hosted Exchange and Sharepoint if possible. We are relatively new to this so a company with great support would be preferable. Does such a company exist? Any recommendations are much appreciated.

Siber, sorry, I'm a bit of a newb and don't understand your question, I thought all major hosts had datacentres? Or am i misunderstanding?
Essentially, we have clients that want to make sure that their data is not stored outside of canada, so wherever their website/hosted exchange/hosted sharepoint is located must be somewhere in canada.

Look at prioritycolo.
I have been with them for more than 5 years. They are very reliable and provide quality service but the price is expensive (at least for reseller accounts).

You can get a Windows VPS from SmoothVPS.com to offer Windows hosting. For Linux hosting you can look at PriorityColo.com, ServerTag.com which are a few Toronto based providers.

Do you really want the servers to be located in Canada? It should not make big difference if the servers are in USA.
I would recommend Cartika, they are a Canada based company but their servers are in Texas.

Rightly or wrongly, our clients seem to want to ensure that their data stays in canada. I've heard great things about cartika. I'd LOVE to go with them...wish they would get some space somewhere in canada *sigh*

Same here. To be more precise they don't want their host and data to be in US.

Hello leapinthedark - thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, I am not sure we are going to go the route of getting a Canadian NOC for hosting (though, we do serve all of our VoIP offerings out of Canada). I understand your customers concerns. Honestly, they are misplaced, as Canada with our Anti-Terrorist Act and the US with their Patriot Act, work in full co-operation with each other and by their nature, overrule any and all privacy laws that exist and bi-pass needs for legalities like warrants, etc.. Eitherway, I completely understand that perception is reality. Hopefully you can find a provider that meets your requirements. I have done a quick search and I am not finding any providers based in Canada that can meet all of your requirements - I think if you intend on meeting all of these requirements, you will need to consider multiple providers.
