I just wanted to ask you designers/artists what are the locations to find nice modern 3D type server images, such as for example the ones on homepage of mediatemple etc?

if I were looking for one I would get a stock image and redo it in the style I want

You would most probably wanting stock images, I'm not a designer though a website which is quite freequently recommended for stock photos is "stock-xchang".

I'm sorry did not see the link. chech sxc.hu you might find something (free) if you dont use stockxpert I bet you'll find somethin on there

iStockphoto.com or hire a graphic designer who can do this for you... :)
