Your software is great. Im using it 1 year ago but now ... terminated by our datacenter (liquidweb). We have 1 dedicated server on them. Their TOS said, ASSP Deluxe is a proxy software and restricted. Fyuh, why liquidweb terminate it now, why not 1 year ago ?.
Since we are dealing with lots of clients, moving a datacenter that accept ASSP Deluxe is not a recommended action. Is there any assist or solution from you who provide the software ?
I dont have any problem on datacenter during 1 year running on your great software, but i dont really understand about liquidweb policy effected on their datacenter.

I know per sure that several ASSP are running on liquidweb server ips with no problem at all . I think you had to do with an odd technician . Is your vps fully managed by liquidweb ? If yes , try switching to an unmanaged server .

We have a managed dedicated server running almost 3 years with liquidweb. We don't see if they have an unmanaged service. What we feel confuse is, they did not specify problems occur on the server. They just claim that running of ASSP Deluxe is restricted base on their TOS.
We will glad if they give us a diagnose or reparation or deeply investigation regarding to ASSP Deluxe effect on a web server. That's should be a managed service do. But we get none of it. ASSP Deluxe was chmoded to 000 on our dedicated server. Our clients complains and we have lost some of energy. What do you think ?

As you know ASSP requires a considerable learning curve but with excellent results. If you have a managed server your techician probably wants avoid to lear all about ASSP, so the easy way to avoid ASSP is respecting at the "word" their TOS. I think that if you switch to an unmanaged server no technican will tell you to remove it , since it's a local proxy (!) between received email and your MTA(exim).

We have contacted liquidweb per your sugestion. Their technician said : " The same terms of service will still apply to a managed and unmanaged server. ".
So, ASSP Deluxe is restricted both for managed and unmanaged server. Fyuh.

Note that ASSP deluxe is not the antispam proxy server. ASSP deluxe is a cpanel/WHM addon for ASSP. So with an unmanged server if you proxy something locally they will change permission on your server ? Their behaviour is odd . I invite you to discuss this situation on ASSP forum , you may found someone else which is using liquiweb with ASSP http://www.asspsmtp.org/forums/. IMHO when I have to do with technicians which are tied to their TOS like a "robot", I would change datacenter immediately.

Maybe someone from Liquidweb could chime in here. ASSP is a important tool to many users.

IMHO, I don't think 'ASSP considered as proxy' would be such a correct reason. If you have managed service from them (liquidweb), you have right to have truth reason why they are not allow ASSP on their servers, CMIIW.
Liquidweb should explain and jump to this thread instead

Let me start by apologizing. Our engineer was mistaken when he told you that you were not allowed to run ASSP on your server. We DO allow ASSP and it is NOT considered a violation of the proxy section of our Terms of Service.
In fact our Security Manager, Steven, uses ASSP on his personal colo server. He thinks it is a great tool! Liquid Web has also been actively evaluating ASSP to provide as a managed product to our customers.
I am very sorry that you were incorrectly told that this software was a violation of our TOS. I am following up with our support managers and the engineers involved with your tickets to make sure that this does not happen in the future. I will also be issuing you a credit as compensation for this error.

ASSP is just to complex for non-hardcore users. It stops too many good emails, and gives some problems such as forged helo from emails that are whitelisted and also blocks emails from IP's that are whitelisted, but use a difference mailserver.
I know a few people who really have had bad experiances with ASSP, but if you look around you will find enough people who have had good experiances.

If you install it following carefully installation and post installation steps
you can't have problem at all. ASSP is easy , however admin should read something . Once installed as recommended the problem you reported
can't exist or can be easy solved.

If you install ASSP and ASSP Deluxe as recommended with scoring mode , you rarely can block a good email . There is a tool inside ASSP WHM (ASSP SCORE SETTINGS) which permits you to set scores to reduce near to zero
false postiives and blocking more spam as possible. You can go between , "I want receive really 0 spam and the risk to have
some good email in spambox" , passing for "I want receive near to spam and the risk to have low or nothing good email in spambox",
till to "I want some rare spam however I want zero good email in spambox" . You can choose !
By the way ...ASSP with ASSP Deluxe have countless way to retrieve and resend blocked email , and spambox has much more features compared to default spamassassin . If we talk also about all the possibility to report spam,notspam,whitelist email , have a list of blcoked email , simply using an email client , the possibility to lose a good email are really near to zero.
ASSP is not hard , ASSP requires a learning curve and you need to read more, this is true. Very often I login on servers where I see ASSP installation which are really broken or badly installed , cron are not installed as required, post installation steps are not installed at all . In this situation you can have problems ,surely.

ASSP permits countless configurations, this is not the ASSP Deluxe behaviour ,
and this is not an ASSP bug . In each case the "problems" you are reporting can be fixed in few seconds/or minutes analyzing assp maillog and opening the ASSP web interface ; Forged HELO are not a problem , Forged HELO must be blocked
, if you don't block them simply disable Forged HELO checks, or put the forged HELO ip on noprocessing ip (or realying menu).

The truth is, im never jump to this thread after it. Suddenly i've got message from my friend who care about me and told about liquidweb answer, then i jumped to this valuable thread. When i read about liquidweb's answer and their offer, my hearth saying Ohh My God ....
You (liquidweb) does not give us any notification. We are too bussy to handle clients and server, so never jump to WHT or the other forum. You have our email on files, 2 emails and why never contact us?. Im using another email for submitting to WHT and never check it, since my default email containing a lot of complain and question from clients. You have my default email on your files, and i never get any offer or feedback from you.
I dont want to talk about who is wrong and who is bad or who is lazy on this case. I need solution since i have place an order 1 dedicated server thru Theplanet. I will ask your compensation thru a support ticket.

ASSP deluxe is great software. It's affordable, and I have no problem paying for something that actually works. I had several clients leave because the spam got too bad. The built-in solution from Cpanel sucks.

I agree, there is somewhat of a learning curve. I was blown away with how many options there were with this software.
