the default themes are free...there are also free hosts... would you want either for an on line business?

You can get free and paid Magento Templates from Magento Connect. You will basically need to download and install it through your Magento Connect Manager.
There are also some other stores which provide free and paid Magento template but I do not recommend you to use them as you will need to upload and install them manually, thus causing lots of issues.
