Hello,

I recently downloaded WinAmp 3.whatever, and it stole all the media file associations, so now every media file opens in it. I want to change back the movie files to open in Windows Media Player. How do I do that? Thanks.

Find the File you wish to open highlite, hold your shift key down and rite click. Choose "open with"
Broswe to the app you wish to make default, and put a check in always open with.
hit enter

yeah, or winamp/options/preferences/setup/file types
or view/folder options[file types]
or edit the registry directly
or use wassociate (http://www.xs4all.nl/~wstudios/Associate/WAssociate.html)
or ...

winamp 3 sucks

you download a skin it morphs your player to some wierd like ball depending on the skin and it does'nt work with the controlls on my keyboard and it is slower than snot on a 2ghz p4 !!!

anyhow i deleted it changed back my file perms and am sticking with 2.x till they get that thing fixed.

I would always do it myself ... i.e from windows explorere / View File Types myself rather than use any 3rd party app. like wassociate :p
