Our bandwidth is Cogent with Veiro Redundancy. We will be opening semi-dedicated accounts that use our BW-A2 bandwidth which is using other bandwidth besides Cogent for those that are not happy with Cogent BW. This plan will be released in the near future but our bandwidth is very quick and has a great uptime.

BTW thanks Jamrover.:D

ClarkH,

Also, Id be interested to know the credit card processing solution that you are using!

We use our own processing utilizing Hostcharge.com's solutions for our Credit Card processing. Acenet Corp. owns Hostcharge and also owns about 50% of @Webhost Corp. so we will never have any trouble with the credit card processing if thats a worry to you.

I'm interested in the semi-dedicate plan but need more bandwidth than the 150 offered.

Asher S
09-16-2002, 04:52 AM
Extra bandwidth is $1 / GB

C.P
09-16-2002, 05:28 AM
Hmm.. That doesn't leave much room if you want to go higher than the 150G.
Great offer for the initial semi dedicate but to get 200G (an extra 50G more) you basically have to pay another $50.

You guys should have more packages for the semi-dedicate ones instead of just one.

Asher S

CP,

Its not just based on prices, its based on service as well. We offer what we offer because we also have to offer service, such as actual 24/7 sales, support and monitoring.

We have chosen NOT to oversell our network. When you get a plan from us, you get what we promise.

And yes we are already working on possibly one more semi dedicated plan.

All the best,
Asher.

Hey I understand completely that you don't want to oversell and stuff.

Just to me it doesn't seem right to be paying $50 and getting all the good stuff at 150G. And yet at the sametime if you want to spend another $50 again you get less than half of what you got initially from the first $50. It just looks funny.:)

Asher S

Thats how hosting works =) Companies make money off overages. You'll see once our new plan comes out.

Well I give it a half day and see if you have a second semi-dedicate plan available that offers a little more bandwidth. I may still order the original semi-dedicate plans.

What's this:

Tower Co-Location
* Mid Tower Co-Lo
* 10/100 Switched Port
* 450 GB Monthly Bandwidth (CogentCo with NTT/Verio)
* 5 IP Addresses

Is that anything like a hosting plan as in Cpanel/WHM?

Not really, its not partitioned by memory in such a way. However we keep a very strict eye on each of our servers to make sure no body exceeds their resource allocation.

semi-dedicated

It also comes with the 24/7 support from you, rite?

:D

How's about the security issue and extra module installation

for the semi-dedicated?

Do you offer any other Control Panel?

Will we have root access?

Thanks

:D

Why do shared hosting clients and resellers ask for root access?

Asher S
09-16-2002, 10:52 PM
1. True 24/7 support

2. Define what you mean by security issues? Anything specific? Extra modules? What kind of modules?

3. No just CPanel because of its flexibility

4. No root access, its a shared server.....

is extra BW for colo $1 too?

lionfire
09-17-2002, 05:18 PM
All bandwidth overages are charged by the megabit on co-location. On our co-location specials, they are charged by the GB. Please see our website (www.atwebhost.com) for exact pricing.
If there are any other questions, please let me know

Asher S

I would like to clarify that on colo our bandwidth is sold on a per meg basis. So it is not $1 / GB.

Asher.

Can you give a little more details about this. Are you talking about per megabit? In other words, if I go over the alloted 200GB's am I going to get knocked up to a full megabit at ~$300?

Asher S
09-18-2002, 11:27 PM
Our meg pricing isnt $300.... let me elaborate:

- Supposing you buy 1mb/s of our BW-A1 bandwidth at $60 / mb/s
- You go over 200GIGs from your alloted 312 (1mb/s)
- You will be charged $60 for the overage.

Thats how colocation works. On our colocation *specials* like tower colo etc, you are charged by the GIG.

Nothing short of 1.3 GHz
Ram is never less than 512mb
And HDDs are IDE 7200 rpm.

Sure we'll install modules free of charge.
