Changing your allocated nameserver?

Hi guys,
I have a Hostgator reseller package and I have been given my nameserver address which is a generic type nsxxx.websitewelcome.com.
My question is, is it possible to change this nameserver name to the name of my hosting business,I think it would look allot more professional that way.
If it is possible how would I do it?
Thanks,
Andy

It is possible but you need to purchase a dedicated ip address from hostgator if they sell them.
If they don't then you can't.

Not true at all. To set up private nameservers you can use shared ips as well. In your set up letter there should be two ips, just register those two ips with your domain name in your domain register and you can start using your custom nameservers.

Yep, although some people like to have their own ip's for nameservers it is a waste of ip space and in my opinion not justification for Arin/Ripe.
