SoftWareRevue 09-14-2002, 11:32 PM How far is a fly from the ceiling before it does that little flip (or whatever it is it does since it can't fly upside down)? pgrote 09-14-2002, 11:37 PM Gents, Thank you so much for coming to my aid. in answer to your questions: Why is the sky blue? Blue light gets scattered (spread) around much more than all the other colors from the sun, causing the sky to appear blue. Source (http://www.why-is-the-sky-blue.org/why-is-the-sky-blue.html) Why is grass green? Grass appears green because all of the colors in the rainbow are absorbed into the leaves of the grass except green. Source (http://www.pa.msu.edu/~sciencet/ask_st/040892.html) How does a fly handle the all important ceiling drop? Prior to impact, the fly extends its forward legs over its head, makes contact, and uses the momentum it has gathered in flight to hoist the remainder of its body to the ceiling. Thus, the fly proves to be more of an acrobat, than of a fighter pilot practicing his maneuvers. Source (http://www.coolquiz.com/trivia/explain/docs/flies.asp) Thanks again, guys. Now, one question for you ... where can I go name myself ;-) davidb 09-14-2002, 11:40 PM pgrote, its from lighting. I wrote a report on lighting, it was a little while ago, but its something about the nitraites pgrote 09-14-2002, 11:43 PM Check the source ;-) You're speaking about the grass, right? Samuel 09-14-2002, 11:44 PM What is the recommended torque setting for chains to hold down a Space Shuttle Main Engine on a double drop 26 foot bottom well lowboy. Please list the torque assignments for the 8 chains starting from the front right chain, then the left side alternating to the right and ending up with the left chain on the rear. Also, a bonus question, the G meter, should it be located in the front of the trailer, or the rear. Another bonus question, with a trip from Monrovia California (Rocketdyne - Rockwell Contractor, to Bay St. Louis, Mississippi (John C STennis Space Center), how much G meter scroll should be in spare as backup keeping in mind that I40, and I10 could at anytime be obstructed and require a reroute up to I80, then back down I25. davidb 09-14-2002, 11:46 PM yes, im pretty sure I am thinking the right thing. If you have time, why dont you search for it.
