Good all-in-one blogging/forums software solution?

I am looking for a good blogging/forums package for my new site. I'd like comments in the blogs which are used for the forums users, which is why I'd need it to be an all-in-one package. I need it to be something I install on my own server, not something you sign up for and have to have it hosted by the developer.

Not sure about the "all in one software" but if you could hire some php mysql expert programmer to tightly integrate wordpress and vbulletin then you would have what you are looking for.

The new IPB forums have a built-in blogging system, plus a few other handy features. You can either rent a server from them, or purchase a license.

you can use either wordpress with bbpress integrated or drupal which already have blog and forum module installed by default.

IPB is not the cheapest solution, but as they say you get what you pay for and its definately worth the money if you are using it on a reasonible large scale site, to be honest if its a smallish personal site then IPB may be a little oversized.? I am using IPB 2.3 with MKportal and I must say I am impressed with the whole thing the admincp is very nice to work with, very powerful and easy to use. BTW mkportal is good too and will intergrate with most forum systems including the free ones..

word press is good. Its free and opensource. I also thnik that you can get forum software for it. (im not sure). If not try SMF (free) or IPB (reasonably cheap) or vbulletin (unsure on price)

Drupal has both integrated out of the box, but wordpress will integrate well with many forum apps.
