01globalnet 12-20-2008, 08:49 AM eTicket since it is based on osticket but more secure and with a few other enchancements.
You should have a look at www.hostscripts.com for more and more options!

PogiWeb 12-20-2008, 11:25 AM My vote would be for eTicket and it is very easy to integrate into any type of script/design.

Maars 12-21-2008, 10:02 AM Thanks for confusing me more
Every ticket system got almost equal votes !!!
So please figure out the reason why you choose one system over the other PLEASE.
Thanks
Regards
shoutcast-panel 12-21-2008, 10:29 AM For simple support/ticket system I would write my own.
E-Mail/ticket tracking is easy to develope and you can add more features at any time. If you really want to use some ready script I would suggest eTicket.

stardot 12-22-2008, 03:46 PM I'm suprised no one has suggested Request Tracker :http://bestpractical.com/rt/
I've used it in client-facing ticketing environments as well as back-end environments (i.e. data center ticketing system between sysadmins and data center techs).
Its robust and stable.

skypn 04-25-2009, 04:41 PM Nice information in here Guys, but I guess, no one bothered to give their respective reasons for bending towards any particular.
neXeon 04-25-2009, 04:45 PM osticket/eticket
Has your usual functions, very easy to work with, good interface for staff and clients alike, support email piping, never had any problems with it.
AstroNyu 04-25-2009, 05:22 PM For a free solution, I cast my vote on osticket.
But so far my favor is more to whmcs.

Yes, we are in the process of integrating it into our website to replace an old perldesk installation.
So far we have been very happy with trellis. Plus, I love the fact we can edit the source code to make a few tweaks here and there.
It was a toss-up between Trellis and Kayako.. and we chose Trellis because it does everything we need, and we can edit the source code.
hooba 05-21-2009, 08:40 AM Is there a ticket system that can be used on a shared host?
Preferably PHP/Perl/CGI/MySQL and with e-mail-piping.

Just tested out Trellis. Works like a charm :-D
My host doesn't use CPAN, so I just set up .procmail to pipe the email (email alias is sent to shell account).
That Trellis does look promising indeed. Think I'm also gonna give it a try :)
